David J.S. Madgett has spent nearly two decades fighting for everyday Minnesotans. As founder of Madgett Law in Minneapolis, he has built a track record in consumer credit law, fraud litigation, and civil rights, representing real people against the institutions that take advantage of them.
Before practicing civilian law, Dave served as a Captain in the United States Air Force JAG Corps, where he was a base Chief of Justice. He prosecuted criminal cases, advised commanders, and upheld the rule of law in one of the most demanding legal environments in the world.
Dave is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law. Over his career he has practiced across civil litigation, white collar crime, consumer finance, real estate, and government accountability. His firm has helped thousands of Minnesotans recover from identity theft, correct fraudulent records, and rebuild their financial lives.
Dave is running for the DFL endorsement because he believes the Attorney General's office should serve all 5.7 million Minnesotans. not the interests of a political party or a path to higher office.
